Our group consists of emergency management and public safety officials from Montgomery County.

We meet informally every month to discuss and resolve common emergency management issues. The idea of getting to know each other and our neighboring municipalities during these meetings is helpful for when we really need each other in emergencies or large incidents. As we educate and inform each other, we are also building trust in each other.

Recognized as an outstanding example of a successful partnership, the EMCEMG received the 2002 Governor’s Award For Excellence in Local Government. The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) in their December 2002 newsletter also recognized the group’s initiatives and activities.
